Need A New Computer to Teach Media Class

My students need a computer.

I teach High School social studies and a media production class. I really teach at a great school that is very different from traditional schools. We have animals on campus and go on trips regularly. I teach at a very interactive school with a great class of students.

I have limited technology in my classroom. I do all my grades by hand, but that's fine with me. However, I teach a media production class and in order for my students to familiarize themselves with producing films/documentaries and a newspaper we need a more technology. My students are producing documentaries for the Nation History Competition and we don't have enough computers available to edit our documentaries.

All we are asking for is a computer to help us edit our videos and start a school newspaper. The students know how to make funny films, but they don;t know how to plan them out and really make them high quality. The technology will be used to help my students realize how to plan and edit their work. The technology will help teach my students valuable life lessons.

Today kids watch a lot of television and YouTube. Kids want to make video's but don't understand the planning and editing that goes into making a film. Another computer in my classroom will help my kids learn the skills they need to learn in not just making a film but life.
