Please help me bring ancient world history, and all other subjects, to life for my students! I teach a wonderful group of sixth graders at an amazing charter elementary school in California. We're "high-poverty" and high in effort and enthusiasm!

I'd like to utilize technology to make learning more engaging for my students. For instance, during art class, I had to hold up photographs of King Tut's sarcophagus for my students to use as a model, then pass the book around so students could see it better. If we had a document camera, I'd just project the colorful image and inspire my students immediately!

Additionally, we've been trying to reduce our paper-usage, and a document camera will assist us in this effort. With a document camera, I would be able to project our morning warm-ups, math problems of the week, Cornell notes, scripts and reading passages, so that we don't each need individual copies. My students could also project their own work, thereby inspiring their classmates or getting whole-class feedback. We would use a document camera in every subject, every day!

Your help will allow my students to engage with the materials in a way they've never been able to, before! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this proposal.
