My students need 27 Comic graphic Novels and a class pack of markers.

My class is in an inner city with South Carolina. It currently has an unemployment percent of 18% in the neighborhood. It is a violent and hard neighborhood. My students are lovable fourth graders. They love to learn. They love to be read to.

My students are below reading levels nationally. They need to be encouraged to read. They love graphic novels or comic books. The books like these at our library are always checked out. My students need their own mini-library of graphic novels to read. We have no working markers. I want them to create their own comic books to share with each other as well.

We need a class set of markers and 27 graphic novels for them to read. This way each child will get a book of their own to read. Each student will create a science comic book and a history comic book. Together we will build literacy skills with a really fun project and fun books.

You can make a difference for the improvement of my class. My students will love reading these books for years to come. They will share their own books with other classes. You will empower them to change their world and at the same time teach them to read better. Please donate to this worthy cause.
