See how passionate that hippo is about being fed and left alone. My fifth grade science students have that same hungry look every time I introduce a new topic. I want to feed their minds by doing more hands-on labs. I teach 103 students in 4 sections of science at a Title One school.

Science is challenging enough, but without supplies it is like trying to feed a Hungry Hippo with no food! Help us Bite into Learning by taking a bite out of our supply costs.

In order to continue using hands-on labs to reinforce science vocabulary and our learning this year we need more lab journals. We also need rings to help keep our vocabulary cards organized and highlighters to help us focus on important ideas.

In just a few months, these "hungry minds" will be heading to Middle School. You have a wonderful opportunity to make a big difference in whether or not they go prepared. What a blessing it would be to get the supplies they need to finish fifth grade strong. Won't you "feed" them supplies so we can feed their minds? Thank you for your time.
