My students need 30+ books from the "Warrior Series" by Erin Hunter.

My 27 enthusiastic fourth graders are united in their love for fantasy books. These urban students, including English Language Learners, quickly devour books with characters that undergo dangerous quests in foreign lands.

My classroom includes 14 boys, including some reluctant readers. They struggle from time to time choosing books in the classroom library, unsure of what to read after they've exhausted the fiction about sports and the survival stories. I would like to have more books in my library that appeal to these students.

The solution: The Warrior series. Several of my male students introduced the books to me, and I am requesting the whole series as we currently have no Warrior books in our library. The Warrior series is a fantasy series about feral cats who function under a warrior code. The books address complex problems, such as loss, abandonment and dealing with being the "new cat" on the block. Since the books are in a series, once the students are hooked on one book, they will be able to spend countless hours engrossed in the Warrior books.
