Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

All of my students are working on becoming English proficient. I have 120 7th and 8th grade students who work hard every day to keep up with the mainstream students. The majority come from low-income homes and homes where they are the only English speaking family member.

With limited budgets, we are forced to either share or avoid using materials. This document camera would help all students see the text when only one copy of the book is available.

I have students who suddenly love to read, but they struggle with unknown words. With a document camera, I would be able to show them the words in context and with immediate accessibility.

With your donation, you will increase the comprehension and vocabulary for each of my students. They would have immediate access to an example in class and students would be able to use their own work for editing.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
