I teach first grade in a high needs community where resources are limited. My students come from low income households and I would like to give them opportunities that they otherwise might not have.

My students do inquiry projects throughout the year. This year our first project is on EMT's and Ambulances. Our second project is on bridges. I feel that it will enrich my students experiences and engage them more if they were able to watch videos on these topics. At times we do not have the funds or resources to take field trips to sites that would help us learn about these topics, but there are videos that would enable them to learn about EMT's and bridges without actually having to leave the classroom.

We need one videotube combo that would allow my students to watch videos on our inquiry subjects which will in turn give them a view of something they might not be able to encounter. For instance, this year we were not able to go to a hospital to take a tour, but we could watch a video of the inside of a hospital so the children could feel as if they were there. This resource will even allow the children to watch videos on subjects beyond our inquiry projects, such as science and literacy.

Your help will ensure that my students will be able to see things that they might not have been able to see before. My students will be able to feel as if they are actually on a bridge that is across the country or in a hospital that is in another state and they will never have to leave the classroom!
