My students need one HP mini computer.

"90% of my students receive free and reduced lunch and our Title I school is an important safe haven for my kids, who are surrounded by poverty and gang activity. My special-needs, at-risk students need a HP mini computer to express their thoughts and ideas via 21st century technology by utilizing PowerPoint, MS Word, and Excel. In addition, they will benefit from researching on the Internet (e.g. our state history, the water cycle, various plants & animals habitats, etc.) and utilizing online educational resources and supplemental web based instruction.

The HP mini computer would provide a fun way for my struggling students to have access to academic games and online math, science and literacy tutorials. This HP mini computer would be perfect for the little hands of my 3rd & 4th graders.

With your help, my students will perform research on the Internet, participate in interactive educational games, as well as publish their own stories. In addition, I will project lessons, activities, videos, and websites for the whole class to experience. By having my students create PowerPoint presentations, it will expand their knowledge, vocabulary, and prepare our students for the future.

Thank you for helping ensure that my self contained 3rd/4th grade EI students are one step closer to the highest quality education possible.
