I have 11 young men and women who have a variety of disabilities. They are extremely interested in learning but often struggle to learn basic skills.

My students have a desire to learn yet our classroom lacks the basic materials necessary to teach these skills. Due to their disabilities, most of my students need high interest books and hands-on activities to learn basic content.

The classroom I teach in is considered a new unit and lacks many of the basic resources needed to teach my students. The materials selected will allow my student to learn about science concepts using colorful, high interest books and activities. We have selected a set of books about simple machines and a set of books about electricity. We also selected the corresponding activity tubs.

Your support will ensure that my students are given the opportunity to learn about science using materials that teach on their level. You will allow these young men and women to feel empowered and proud when they learn a new concept.
