I have been teaching for four years. I am a resource teacher that focuses on students with learning disabilities. My students need help in solving everyday problems in Math. Most of our students come from low income families that do not have funds, which unfortunately to many, means nothing at home to help them academically. Ninety three percent of our students receive free or reduced price lunches.

We have had MANY budget cuts over the last few months. We were told last week that all funds have been frozen and we will not be receiving any money to purchase items to use in other classrooms. My students need help in solving everyday problems in Math. My students love a good challenge especially, when they know it is something they can do on their own. I want to give them the opportunity without my help to explore and solve challenges. My kids love playing games and using manipulatives to figure out the answers to math problems. I want to use the items listed above to set up a math center for them.

I need 5 different math items: Light & Strike Math Game, Dice in Dice Tub, Lock It In! Math Challenge Game, Math Bingo Library - Gr. 1-3 - Complete Set, and See & Solve Manipulative Kit. These resources will allow my students a hands-on experience and challenge them to explore and solve things on their own.
