I teach 22 wonderful second graders who are eager to learn and share their experiences with their families. My students are digital native, and technology is part of their every day lives. Their learning styles range from visual to tactile/hands on.

Research proves creating a home-school connection is vital to student's success. Most families are not able to come to school so I videotape projects and create sideshows to send home to support a home-school connection. My students treasure the DVD's and watch them over and over again. It promotes a sense of pride and self reflection. We do not have the supplies needed to make individual DVD's so we currently send them home on a check out basis. It would be great if I had the funds to send individual DVD's home more often.

I need DVD's and jewel cases to protect the DVD's to send home with my students to promote family involvement. Parent feedback has an enormous impact on student motivation and growth

Your support will brighten the faces of my students and help to keep families informed. Students will feel like they are a Star with their own DVD that they can keep and treasure for years to come. It lifts their self esteem and empowers them to share their work with their families
