My students need an easy to use digital video camera, Wireless Camera Kit, 100 DVD-Rs, and 40 jewel cases.

I teach a wonderful group of 22 second graders who are eager to learn. As digital natives, they have grown up with technology and it plays a huge role in their lives. Their learning styles are tactile, hands-on and visual.

We do not have access to a digital video camera or microphone to record student's performances. Financially, our school district cannot provide these valuable tools.

This project will benefit my students in many ways. If we had a digital video camera and a microphone, students can take ownership by creating and recording their own multi-media production and we can record their reader's theater productions, oral presentations, and performances for their parents to view. Families can keep and treasure the DVDs we will make.

You will make a difference in our lives by supporting our project. You will make it possible for students to create and record their own multi-media production. Students can take ownership and self reflect when reviewing their performances. They can take a DVD home to show their parents which promotes a home-school connection.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
