We have over 300 sixth grade students that are in Social Studies. Our school is in a high-need community. Parent resources are limited.

Having books or magazines at home is a luxury our parents cannot afford. Five teachers will use these books in 10 classes!

To bring the Trojan War to life in class we would like to supplement the textbook with this wonderful historical fiction novel by Paul Fleischman. Students will read the book along with the Greece unit. It contains newspaper stories of other wars and will make a wonderful social studies and writing connection. The students will then write news articles about the history battles!

You will touch over 300 minds with this exciting description of the Trojan War. This wonderful resource will be used for more than one year.
