We are energetic, fun-seeking learners! I teach 4th grade language arts in a rural area of Oklahoma. We are a public school with almost 80% of our students qualifying for free or reduced lunches. Our school encourages hands-on learning along with student-centered projects.

My students love reading and sharing about what they are reading. We live in a an extremely low socioeconomic area with very few resources. Our budgets have been cut continually and we are in desperate need of a new class set of books. Many of my students have asked to start a Lunch Bunch Book Club. These resources would help sponsor this student-led inspiration.

Having a new class set of books, written by a student selected author, Roald Dahl, would allow many students the opportunity to read this student chosen book. I have been teaching a younger grade level with the research-based "four blocks method" with great success. I would like to have the "four blocks method" book for teaching upper grades. This book will include best practices to springboard learning by using Roald Dahl's "The Fantastic Fox". My students want to read during their lunch and discuss books, making projects to share with others!

Please consider helping to make this vision come true! My students need your help to grow their love for reading, writing and sharing this love with others! It's with your help, that I can become a more empowered teacher, to share the value of learning more about the reading process with my students.
