Riveting, real-life science experiences are what my science students need. I teach 7th grade science students and would like to provide them with phenomenal, moving science experiences.

I teach in a high-needs community where many students lack experiences such as visiting zoos, exploring museums and discovering nature's wonders at national parks. Because I can't take them all over the world to show them fantastic sites, I need to be able to show them DVDs of such places. That way, they can be excited about doing some exploring of their own. At this time, I lack the ability to do just that.

Through the efforts and kindness of others, my classroom has a projector. Unfortunately, my computer is not able to play DVDs, so I am unable to show many of the phenomenal materials that would provide visual adventures for my students. Having an external DVD drive would allow not only the possibility of showing meaningful, up-to-date science materials, it would also be able to be used beyond the life of my current computer. Consequently, it is a wise investment.

By supporting my students in donating, you will make it possible for all of my students to experience the world around them, even those that never leave their neighborhood!
