I am a preschool teacher in a low income neighborhood. My students are both special needs and typical students ages 3-5. They are wonderful students who love to learn.

My students love to sing and dance. They know the words to songs on the radio and dances from videos. I want to take this love of music and use it in an educational way. Currently, we do not have a significant amount of educational cds or instruments that really grab their attention. They are always asking for drums!!!

Through the purchase of these instruments and cds my students will have the opportunity to experience various cultures. In addition, they will be able to learn various educational topics in a way that interests them. The radio and microphone set will give them the opportunity to learn about sound and a chance to be the center of attention.

Your help with this project will give these children the opportunity to learn so much in a fun way. Just the literacy songs on the Dr. Jean cd will help them make strides in their reading education. You have the ability to take these children to the next level without them even realizing they are doing more than just having fun.
