Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach art to lots and lots of fantastic elementary students. They are so creative and excited to get the most out of their art time. Most of my students are 4th and 5th graders, so doing a wire project is perfect for their age group.

With our "Wintry, Wire Snowflakes", students will be challenged to use their creativity in a more hands-on project. They will increase their abilities in fine motor skills by bending and twisting the wire. My wonderful group of Exceptional Children will definitely enjoy the hands-on experience.

My students are very handy with drawing, using chalk, using glue, and scissors. These skills are good, but they are ready to branch out and do something that will challenge them a little more. This wire project will definitely do that. They will be using tools and materials they have never used before. I know they will thoroughly enjoy this exciting adventure in ART.

Your help with this project will inspire my students to do more things that challenge them. They will find new things are nothing to shy away from, but to embrace with open arms!! You are helping them learn new skills and helping them become less afraid of the unknown.
