In Biology You Do Dissection?

My students need 35 aprons, 15 dissecting kits, a set of pins, owl pellets, 18 frog dissection kits and a tube of earthworms.

I teach Biology to college bound 11th graders from a high-need community. Our school is a public charter school with limited resources that has made a difference in many of the student's lives by giving them a safe stable and challenging educational environment.

My school is only a few years old and provides a safe choice for inner-city students in our area. We need help in the science area to provide more meaningful and real life labs for our students. My biology students have never done dissection (not even in middle school) and this would be a great learning opportunity for them.

My students would greatly benefit from having equipment: washable aprons, gloves, and dissecting kits which could be used again; and specimen owl pellets, earthworms, and frogs which would give them a decent introduction to dissection and anatomy.

You will make it possible for my students to get real lab experience in school which may encourage them to pursue more STEM careers.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
