"We are WILD about becoming independent readers in our classroom. I am an ESL kindergarten teacher who conducts guided reading groups on a daily basis.

My kindergarteners are being squished as they begin their journey to becoming independent readers. We currently sit at a small rectangle table. They are also having a hard time concentrating on their book with their neighbor is so close.

A kidney table would help me be able to work more one on one with them without causing a problem to the reader next to them and allow me to hear them read and help them when they are faced with difficulties.

Kindergarten is where it all begins for most of my kids and they deserve to get the best guided reading experience to take with them throughout their education. Your donation will help the students become better readers and will allow me to give them a HUGE head start in reading. hide»

Dear Bruno, Norma, Karen, Camilla, Lori, Deborah, Elaine and Anonymous Donors,

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom so we could receive our table. My students have more room now to spread out and are not hearing other kids read in their ear. My reading groups are more comfortable and therefore are learning so much more. I have ESL students who need word work and games and we have room to successfully accomplish that now. My readers who are working on comprehension can now focus more on retelling what they read and not what the person next to them read. Thank you again for your generosity.

With gratitude,
Mrs. W.

Dear Bruno, Norma, Karen, Camilla, Lori, Deborah, Elaine and Anonymous Donors,

I can not begin to tell you how honored, excited, and thankful I am for your donations. It is so great to see so many people who support Early Childhood Education because that is truly where it all begins.

I will use this table to have guided reading, writing, and math groups. The bigger space will help them have more personal space that they need to succeed. They will be able to hear themselves read instead of hearing their neighbors. They will also have more room for math manipulatives.

I can not wait to share this great news with my students! Thank you all so much!

With gratitude,
Mrs. W.
