Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach an enthusiastic group of low-income, urban, 5th graders who love to learn using technology.

The students in my classroom are encouraged by the use of technology. They have limited access at home and have grown since I've introduced them to the World Wide Web. We use it in our classroom on the one and only computer we have, but that's not enough for them to gain the knowledge necessary to grasp the magnitude of capabilities.

With an HP laptop, my students can surf the web and gather information on their country, do research projects, write, illustrate and publish their own books, and even make a movie depicting their years at our school. They will see what other more fortunate students already know...that there's a big world out there waiting to be discovered by them.

With your generous donation, these terrific young people can find information about any topic, be excited about learning, create memories to treasure always, and become the well-educated adults we all know they can be.
