Each day, educating middle school students warrants new adventures and challenges. I teach in a rural district that is considered high-poverty and has been recently struck with budget cuts because of the financial crisis in Michigan. At our middle school, I service 130 seventh grade general and special education students in a science classroom.

The majority of my teaching involves as much hands-on, eyes-on, learning as possible. Currently we have one projector for five seventh grade classrooms at the middle school. It is a constant burden on my teaching when I cannot incorporate specific lessons into the classroom (that are crucial to the learning process) because of the lack of a projector.

In order to ensure optimal learning opportunities each day, it is necessary to give students the tools they need to succeed. In my classroom, that involves a projector. With the projector, it will allow for exploration and the generation of knowledge in many scientific subjects.

As we persist through a generation of technology, incorporating projectors into the classroom is essential. You will make it possible for students to have an interactive experience with Earth, Physical, and Life Sciences.
