Students learning to read! I teach a low ability 2nd grade reading class in a high-need community.

Students enjoy reading but need extra support with vocabulary. Students often times will want to read books that are over their level for various reasons, often needing help multiple times. By the time the have gotten the help they will have forgotten what they read.

The TAG system will be the extra support the students need while reading. Having the TAG pen there to help them with the words they are not sure of at the moment of question. Not having the downtime of waiting for help will also improve comprehension.

This will not only improve their reading and comprehension skills, their self esteem will get an instant boost.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
