The vast majority of our students are ESL (English as a Second Language) and qualify for free and reduced lunch. We are considered a Title I school. Students get very excited when technology is used in the classroom. They pay closer attention and are more actively engaged in the lessons. Unfortunately, our school is very limited when it comes to available technology. Most students do not have a computer at home, nor do they have access to the Internet. At school, we have few computers and one projector that must be shared among each grade level. This does not allow for consistent interaction with technology. An LCD projector will allow students to view videos, PowerPoint presentations, pictures, and on-line resources as a whole class. We can use it in conjunction with the plethora of support on our class website! We can enhance every area of study by allowing students the opportunity to "get hooked" via imagery, sound, and interaction with the technology of their future. I have so many websites, films, and interactive presentations I'm dying to share! Your donation will enable my students to see, hear, and interact with an amazing number of resources that would otherwise be unavailable. It will enrich their learning experiences in all subjects and allow creativity and exploration to flourish. We thank you for every bit of support! hide» My students need one Epson PowerLite LCD Projector. details»
