My students need 60 copies of the book "A Paradise Called Texas" to understand what it is like to be an immigrant coming to Texas.

I am an English as a Second Language 4th grade teacher. I teach in a Title I Texas public school.

There is not enough money in our school budget to buy a class set of books. I have written many grants but this is my last hope to get these books that our classroom desperately needs.

Literature is one of the best ways for students to experience history. This book will allow students the opportunity to see what it was like to be an immigrant coming to Texas.

Thank you for your support in helping bring literacy into a classroom. Your help will ensure that this 4th grade class will get to experience an important time in Texas history.
