High School Radio Station-Part 1

My students need of one Professional MP3/CD Player/Mixer (audio production equipment) to jump start our radio station.

What could be more fun than a high school radio station? I teach Computer Programming to North Carolina high school students in grades 9-12 who have a high interest in computers and technology.

My students have decided to expand their technology goals by wanting to start a high school radio station for our school. They would like to air live broadcasts of sporting events as well as provide regular programming each day such as news, announcements, and talk shows. With the current budget situation there is limited funds to start our broadcast program and buy the necessary equipment to launch our radio station.

In order to start our program we need to purchase some technical equipment. We already have our transmitter but need other audio equipment. In this phase of the project we need to buy a MP3/CD audio player and mixer. This will allow our radio station to broadcast audio from CD's that our students record and produce.

Your help with this project will allow us to jump start a broadcasting program that will reach our entire school and surrounding community through our own high school radio station. With your help we will be able to provide an amazing experience for students to work first hand in a broadcast studio.
