Anything that is donated through donorschoose.org not only benefits one class, but it benefits an entire school.
Today's society is very different from when I was a child. The world is becoming more connected and with this shift comes the responsibilities of integrating multicultural education into every subject. The students need different instruments from other cultures in order to get a better, more diverse music education. The supplies that I am asking for are part of a World Drumming kit that was put together for use in a school setting, by the Remo Percussion company. This kit includes everything from an instructional book, tubanos, and even the shakers and cowbells. Learning about other cultures teaches students to learn and form respect for others societies that may be different from ours. It's one thing to sit around and discuss cultures, but with the use of the instruments from your donation, the students can become fully immersed in a multicultural setting. HIDE My students need a 39-instrument world music drum set.
