Our school is a Montessori Magnet Elementary School in North Carolina. My classroom is a pre-kindergarten and kindergarten blended classroom (4-6 yr).

Kindergarten students are assessed on science material, such as animal and human characteristics, properties of objects, seasons and weather, and measurement.

The materials from Lakeshore products would allow the students to explore science in a fun, interactive way! 1-Science Specimens Sorting Center lets kids use their eyes and fingers to investigate the scientific properties of more than 20 fascinating specimens—from rocks & shells to feathers and pine cones! Children just sort the specimens while building observation & classification skills as they touch, examine and explore each object! 2-Seasons Game allow children to sort objects onto sorting mats for all four seasons! This material builds classification skills. 3-Color-Changing Touch Squares produce colorful impressions—with every touch! The six squares let kids test & compare the heat of everything from classroom objects to their own skin! 4-Magnetic Field Wonder Window allow children to discover magnetism. 5-Learn To Recycle! Activity Kit allows the children to learn to reduce, reuse and recycle while practice sorting!

I know the students will enjoy these science discovery materials for years to come! I am secretly excited to use these materials too! :-)
