Combining Math and Art with Da Vinvi Dollars! I teach art to grades K-5 in two separate schools in a high-need, low-income community.

My students are extremely motivated to learn and participate in art, but lack the educational background and foundation they need to truly appreciate it. Most do not have access to art materials at home to help build their knowledge and skills.

I have opened an art store where the students can use Da Vinci dollars that I have made and pass out to them for good behavior. Right now the store has a small supply of crayons, markers, construction paper, and erasers. I would love for my students to be able to use their Da Vinci dollars to buy things that they can take home and enjoy over and over, materials that will also enhance their knowledge of art and math skills.

Your help will ensure that my students have the opportunity to learn about art not just at school but at home as well. Art is not just a fun class where you go to make things, its also about building character and gaining an appreciation for the arts.
