My name is Ms. W and I teach sixth grade Math and Science in a Middle School located in NYC. My school is located in a high needs area where resources are limited.

Today's generation is technology savvy and unfortunately my school is lacking this resource. All my students love to "surf" the web and look up Science information, but it is impossible for us to do so as a whole class.

I would love to show my students a virtual lab or introduce them to other places around the world. Unfortunately, this is difficult because I do not have a projector in the classroom. A projector would help engage the students and motivate them to learn. I do not have Science materials, so this projector would take the place of these missing resources. Students will be able to experience new places and things through the Internet and projector. Having a projector would also help the environment because I wouldn't have to make as many copies as I currently do now.

With your generosity, you will be touching the lives of over sixty sixth grade students. You will be allowing them the opportunity to explore the world through another portal besides a boring textbook. This projector will invoke curiosity among the children and in turn they will be gaining valuable knowledge that will never be forgotten. You too, will never be forgotten for your kind heart!
