Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am an art teacher in a high needs elementary school in the South Bronx. My school lacks some basic needs due to budget cuts and poor funding. The art department needs a laminator in order to protect student art work on display.

My students work hard and one of the rewards for their hard work is seeing their work on display in the school. I do my best to protect the art work but often there is a mishap.

A new laminator will help me protect my students work and give the display a professional look. My students take such pride in their work and giving them the opportunity to archive their work would be an added boost to their self-esteem.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read about my school. I hope that you donate and help my students with preserving their art work. I am looking forward to my first display with our new laminator. Sincerely, Ms. B
