I teach third grade in a traditional classroom setting at a school with approximately 800 students. My students come from a variety of economic and cultural backgrounds but all my students share an enthusiasm for learning.

Our world is comprised of so many natural wonders that can grab the attention of our children. Magnets are one of these wonders. This is a scientific concept that is better taught through hands on materials not from a textbook. In order to keep students highly engaged I would like each student to have their own magnetic resources to use.

With the requested resources my students will be able to explore the world they live in through magnets. Students will be able to learn why the Earth has poles, why some rocks are magnetic, and how different materials have different properties. When students get excited about learning they are more open to explore other new concepts.
