Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach Kindergarten. My students are English language learners and Special Education students in a school with very limited resources serving high-poverty population.

My students currently place the books they choose to read from the library and guided reading books in a plastic "zip lock" bag that breaks easily and its hard to manage.

My students love their book choices and love to practice reading their guided reading books during independent reading time. Having a box to hold all their books and that is easy to transport and keep all their books together will be an essential material to use. Also, because it's plastic the upcoming Kindergartners will have the boxes to use for years to come.

Your donations will make it possible for my students to have a special box to hold their books as they develop their love to reading and learning as they become life long readers.
