Myself along wi... MORE "I have been teaching for six years in a low income area. My students are in 5th grade and are a combination of general education and special education students. Every year I look for new technologies that will allow me to engage my students and raise their excitement for learning.
Myself along with 3 of my colleagues have recently been trained on how to create a blog, podcasts, and digital movies. We have the computers necessary to edit and publish the projects, but need recording devices. During the training we used a FLIP Video recorder. It is the perfect device because not only is it kid friendly, but it also plugs directly into the computer for uploading so that no wires are needed. Collaboratively the 5th grade has been working on blogging and podcasting with huge success. The children are so excited and loving going home and playing their podcasts for their families by logging into the class blog. We want to take the next step into digital movie making. With your help we can do that and our children can become movie stars. HIDE My students need two FLIP video recorders to star in their own videos that will be posted on our class blog.
