As many of you know Science is a difficult subject for many students but especially English Language Learners. I have come up with the conclusion that if we expose our children with manipulatives and visuals, science can be fun and a learning experience. Teaching science is extremely difficult due to the fact that we do not have all the proper resources that one would need to complete a lesson. On the other hand many English Language Learners have a difficult time understanding the vocabulary and ideas introduced in our science books without visuals and fun learning experiences.

Most of the times as teachers you have to purchase things that are needed in order for our students to succeed with their education. I am one of those teachers that tries to do anything possible in order to help my students succeed. On this note, I am asking all of you for help in order to help my students learn a very difficult subject which is Science. Science is very difficult for many of our students because we do not have the proper resources and manipulatives in order to provide them with hands on lessons.

I am asking for your help and support in purchasing science learning centers that will help support my students learning when it comes to science. In order to learn and have hands-on lessons with Science I am asking your help in purchasing an Exploring Bug Science Center, Nutrition Learning Center, Weather & Seasons Learning Center, Magnets Center, Five Senses Center, and a Color Mixing Instant Learning Center. These centers would be of great use to be able and target this important subject that once we enter fourth grade we will have to be exposed and tested on. Science will be much easier if we obtain a fun introduction to some of the themes that we will need for fourth grade. Help us prepare for Fourth Grade and get some background knowledge.

I would appreciate any help you can provide in making our dream of learning science come alive in our classroom with hands on experiences and manipulatives. These items will help my students succeed and be able to take charge of their own learning.

I want my students and every student to be able and succeed with their schooling. I am a strong believer that children can learn by listening but most of the time by using visuals and manipulatives.

Lets make our children achieve their dreams and be able to succeed with this subject which is very valuable in all grades. If they succeed with science now they won’t have a hard time when they get to fourth grade, middle school or even high school.
