I teach 6th and 7th grade math, 8th Pre-Algebra, and Algebra I, and it would be very helpful and useful if I could have some scientific calculators for my Pre-Algebra and Algebra I students and also the Algebraic tiles for my Pre-algebra students. I have several pre-algebra students that are having a very hard time understanding negative and positive numbers, and I think working with the algebraic tiles would help them a lot. It is very difficult having a class that you have some very low level students in with some very high level students, and being able to keep them both on task during class is hard when I can't be helping both of the groups at the same time.The more things that I can have for them to do things that are hands on the easier it makes it for them to learn. I would appreciate anything you could help me with.

My students have taken an interest in negative and positive numbers when I use examples of below and above sea level, and using a bank account.

I would like to have scientific calculators and algebraic tiles for my classes. I think these resources would be very beneficial to my classes.

Your help will make a big difference in the learning of my lower level students. Sometimes they seem to get lost in the class because we want to go on so fast because we feel so pressured to move so fast through the book, and so we move right on past the slower learners. If we have things to help them specifically maybe they could keep up with the higher level students better.
