Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My class serves the urban area of San Diego and the past three years have been dedicated to rebuilding the music program of the oldest middle school in San Diego.

Most of the students that attend this school cannot afford to rent their own instruments, but thanks to some generous donations from a local patron we are able to give music to students who normally would not have the opportunity.

By attaining a storage cabinet for our intruments we will be able protect our investment for years and be able to continue to provide students for several generations. Currently we do not have adequate storage and most of the instruments are piled one on top of the othere in a spare room.

As a result of your generous donations you will make it possible to continue the rebuilding of the music program and allow music for students who may never have the chance to participate in music if not for your help. THANK YOU!
