I'm Smooshed!

My students need 24 stools that can be pushed under the tables.

Do you enjoy being "smooshed"? That's how it feels in the Art Room with almost 1,000 students in grades PreK through Five circulating through our school. We like to make art, get messy, and be able to have some room to stretch our creative bodies.

However, with all of these students, it's hard not to feel a bit crowded. There are 14 science tables and 26 chairs that fill the room to the edges, not leaving much space to move around safely. Students are confined to their chairs, back to back, and often get fingers and arms pinched between. Some of the chairs have metal rails on the bottom and flip easily on the tile floor, causing students to crack their chins on the heavy science tables.

Art stools will make it much easier and safer to move around the room and make ART! These stools can be pushed under the tables when we are standing and working and when students are sitting on them, there won't be anything to pinch little fingers between.

Your help will ensure that my students can enjoy a SAFE and CREATIVE Art experience throughout their elementary years.
