AP US History Class Needs Videos To Make History Come Alive

My students need 11 video resources, including "National Geographic's Ultimate WWII Collection", "Frost/Nixon - The Complete Interviews" and "John Adams".

AP US History, 20th/21st History, and American History students in rural high school need up to date videos.

At this point in my teaching career, I do not have the resources to buy historical videos, nor my school district, to use as clips in my three history classes. 21st century learners are visual learners and modern videos will engage the students' interests.

In my AP training this summer, the instructor demonstrated to the future AP US History teachers the power of watching movie clips. The movie clips help the students to visual how the people lived, and realize psychologically, historical people had emotions like us. The videos will help get to all levels of learners: visual and auditory. Americans have been raised watching movies and videos.

Your help will make it possible for my 8 AP US history students, 16 -20/21st history students, and my 100 American history students to find history more interesting. This help will make my classroom engaging and it will bring us into the 21st century. The future leaders of our country are sitting in American classrooms, and watching videos about the character of our national historical leaders will help shape the character of 124 American students. Help me in my endeavor to change the future of this country one person at a time.
