Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach third grade at a high needs school in South Florida. My students lack background knowledge, and need to explore science during hands activities that will foster their development of inquiry skills and well as their scientific knowledge.

The science text book is not meeting the diverse needs of my students. I what to create more opportunities for them to do science experiments and explore life science.

The materials on my wish list will help me create these opportunities. The stamps will allow them learn to identify and name plant and animal parts. The owl pellets will help them build a rodent, and trace a food chain. The plant and insect tubs, will allow them to practice inquiry skills such as observing, measuring, comparing, classifying, and making conclusions.

Your help will ensure that my students feel successful as science learners and will ensure they develop inquiry skills.
