My students need a set of dramatic play career costumes and hats, and a storage unit, complete with a shatter proof mirror for viewing.

I teach within a self-contained, preschool and kindergarten special education classroom with students ages three through six that possess mild to moderate disabilities. 

One area that my students love to use in within the general education preschool classroom is the dramatic play area.  They love to dress-up in clothes and pretend that they are grown-ups!  However, I do not have these materials within my special education classroom.  I would love to ensure that all of my students would be able to have access to using these wonderful materials that foster creative play, imagination, language development and cognitive skills.

My classroom really needs a dramatic play area.  I find that many of my students that possess cognitive and language deficiencies have a difficult time with imaginative play.  I truly believe that imaginative play is important and vital to the development of children.  Through the funding of this project, my students would be given the opportunity to not only foster imaginative play within the classroom, but they would be able to pretend that they are actual people that they would see in the community; such as police officers, firemen, mail carriers, etcetera. 

Please help to make this project possible for my students.  You would not only help with giving them the materials to foster their imaginations, but through the funding of this project, you would be able to assist with their language development and cognitive skills as well.
