With these supplies we can grow bacteria, examine things under the microscopes, grow plants, build cells, look at DNA and much more.
Our school is in a low income area and as you know funding for schools was cut. However we are still striving to provide students with the opportunity to perform hands on labs. We need gloves and paper towels. These are the two items that we need the most before we can go to lab. Protection and safety is a priority in our lab. These items will allow students to do approximately 200 labs during the year. These range from squid and owl pellet dissection to DNA Electrophoreses. Many of the students have parents that have lost jobs and they can not purchase these items. It may sound small but it opens the doors to my students to perform so many labs. These supplies will make an outstanding difference. Without them the lights go out and the students can not do lab. Sometimes in life it is the simple things that mean the most. This is one of those situations. If you can even donate enough money for one box of gloves that is a start. We will make excellent use of the items that you provide and we will be very grateful to get them.
