Junior High kids need to be motivated. Please help us by supporting our PBS "Thunder Card" Program. "Thunder Card Fun Room" Needs Table tennis.

Using the PBS model we want to reward students for being positive examples in their community and motivate others to be positive examples. We have no funds that can help purchase materials that provide motivation for their age group. The "Thunder Card Fun Room" is set up as a place for card holders to go and enjoy activities that are just for them.

We created a "Thunder Card" that is given to students who are positive examples not only academically but socially. The card would bring the holder a number of privileges as well as periodic rewards. Our hopes is that these rewards will be seen as valuable and get other students who are struggling to seek help in applying themselves to attain similar status. This benefits our school environment two fold by recognizing those top students and attaching extra value for those who can not recognize the value of being successful at school. Our reward system has two parts. First is privileges that are always in effect as long as the student hold the card and the second is periodic small rewards that remind them of how much we appreciate them. This is what we need funds for. The "Fun Room" will be a place kids can go to relax and enjoy activities meant just for them.

With your donation you are helping to add value to our "Thunder Card " Program and giving kids the opportunity to have a more positive experience at school. We want our students to feel appreciated and know that their hard work can have both short and long term rewards.
