Hi! I teach Kindergarten to a great group of 24 children! My school is located in Military housing and serves mainly Marine and Navy families. Although these children face long separations from one of their parents, they are eager to come to school each day and learn!

As part of our every day routine, the children go to literacy centers. This is a time of day where they work independently at their center while I teach a small reading group. This is one of their favorite times of the day! One of their favorite centers is the listening center. Over the years, I have purchased many books on tape that the children love listening to as they follow along with the book. But - HELP! All of my books are on cassette tapes and my tape recorder is on the fritz!

We need to a new tape recorder to continue listening to all these great books! And since we are trying to upgrade our technology, we are also requesting a phonics program and tape recorder that will help the children learn their letters and sounds!

Your donation to my project will provide my students with hours and hours of listening to quality literature and learning how to read activities! Thank you for supporting education!
