A really good book is a great way to introduce a topic. Books help us learn more about all kinds of things. These books will help the primary students at my small school learn all about the different science topics they will explore this year.

We are in the midst of developing a space at my school where primary students can come to learn about science and explore the topics freely. In this lab we hope to develop theme tubs for each of the science strands. In these tubs will be a collection of literature as well as materials to explore the topic. The problem is we don't have literature that is appropriate for primary children. We don't have very many books and the ones we have are geared towards older learners.

These collections of books were compiled with young learners in mind. There are several books on each topic ranging from informational picture books to straightforward non fiction. These books will bring hard to understand topics to life with photographs and kid friendly text.

Your help will ensure that that the primary students at my school have the materials they need. These books may help a young learner discover the scientist inside. They may cause a student to achieve an "aha" moment about a science concept. When literature is brought into other areas of our day we are ensuring that the students are getting the best!!!
