I teach student in grade 5 through 8. Our students come from every zip code throughout the city making our school a diverse learning community.
Although we are lucky to have book for our classes with our limited budget we often are not able to provide students with the "extra' resources so many of them often need to succeed. We are lucky to host an original Freedom Writer to our school this coming November. Sharaud Moore will be speaking to our Middle School students at an afterschool assembly. We would like provide a copy of The Freedom Writer Diary to all the students who attend our special event. We know that Sharaud's inspirational story will be one our students will remember forever. Providing our students with a copy of The Freedom Writer Diary will make this event complete. We know many of our students will walk away wanting more and providing a copy of the book will give them something to hold onto and read for inspiration forever. Reading about other teenagers will hopefully inspire them to write about their own lives and make sense of what can be a challenging time period. HIDE My students need 50 copies of "The Freedom Writer Diary".
