I teach Technology Education in Maryland, to middle school aged students, grades 6-8. For the majority of my students, the most exposure they have had to technology is Myspace, Facebook, and Twitter. I am working to ensure that my students get the proper technology exposure they need to be successful in high school, college, and in life!

I have over 300 students that pass in and out of my room everyday. I have anywhere from 25 to 30 students in each class. Middle school aged children are often very social and concerned about what their friends are doing by their very nature. Sometimes they have difficulties focusing on their assignments during the class period. I would like for them to be able to focus on learning correct typing technique, computer basics, learning about the history of technology, and completing projects in technology class. Headphones will definitely help to make this happen!

Headphones are a great way to help with focusing on their own computer screens. Since they only sounds that they will hear are on their computer screens, they are far less likely to even be concerned with what their neighbor is doing.
