I teach 5 year-old kindergarten in rural South Carolina. We are a Title One school with 93% of kindergarten students receiving free/reduced lunch. Our school is featured on SC ETV's "Corridor of Shame." All of our funds for this school year have been frozen.

Each day, precious learning time is wasted in my classroom due to lack of storage. I have no low shelf space to store my learning center materials. Time is spent putting items out for students when it is time for learning centers.

Having shelves would allow these materials to have a home. The materials would be accessible to the students and easily visible. No longer would the students have to ask "Where is the ___?" or "Mrs. C, can you hand me____, I can't reach it?" Low shelves would result in more time spent on task for my students.

Your support of this project will help guide 23 kindergarten students this year toward building skills through the more productive use of learning centers. The impact over the years to come will be tremendous! Thank you for investing in the future of my students.
