I teach second grade at a Title I school in rural part of Southwest Oklahoma. I have students on every ability level, from special needs to above average.

One thing all my students have in common is that they need a creative and fun way to learn to spell and manipulate words. My students love to play spelling games online, however I want them to see that not all learning and fun must take place in front of a computer screen.

My students need "Scrabble" Board games so that they can work in pairs to spell out our weekly spelling and vocabulary words. The majority of my students learn through experiencing or doing instead of just memorizing. By being able to move the Scrabble tiles around to spell words on the game board they will be able to remember how to spell these words.

Your help will make it possible for my students to have a way to learn to spell that is both fun and effective.
