With the recent flu outbreaks, orthodontist appointments, and other causes, my students are absent through no fault of their own. When they return, they are enthusiastic to catch up on missed material. Many parents request work to be sent home. But how can you send home a lecture? How can a returning student get the whole idea from a classmate's notes? What about the students who may need to hear material more than once?

I would like to record my class lectures and discussions, so that any student who misses class for any reason can know EXACTLY what happened in class. They will not have to rely on a classmate's notes, a summary from me, or simply reading the text.

They will be able to check out an MP3 player to listen to classes they miss.

This will also be beneficial to students with learning or other disabilities and English language learners who need more time to acquire needed information.

With the addition of the video camera, lectures can be videoed and uploaded to a secure site for students and families to view at home, school, or anywhere else they access the Internet. Student presentations can be recorded to burnt to CDs for them to keep, to show as examples to others, and can also be uploaded.

You can give my students an excellent opportunity for success that would not be available otherwise.
