I teach 5 year-old kindergarten in rural South Carolina. We are a Title One school with 93% of kindergarten students receiving free/reduced lunch. Our school is featured on SC ETV's "Corridor of Shame." All of our funds for this school year have been frozen.

Imagine 70 kindergarten students trying to play on 4 small pieces of outdoor equipment all at the same time. It is not a very pleasant sight! Our kindergarten playground desperately needs more equipment. We simply do not have funds to add more. Developing gross motor skills is an important part of kindergarten. Having more opportunities to climb would help our students achieve this.

A Clubhouse Climber and a Skyward Summit would be great additions to our kindergarten playground. Our playground is shared by three kindergarten classes. We try to stagger our outdoor time due to lack of equipment, but it is not always possible. More equipment would allow more for our students to improve their gross motor skills.

Your support of this project will help 70 kindergarten students this year improve their gross motor skills. The impact over the years to come will be tremendous! Thank you for investing in the future of my students.
